The Law of Attraction has been proven through scientific research. Each study approaches it a bit differently. For example, some investigate the power of thought or prayer, and others look at the connection between the mind and healing of the body. On this page, we provide you with some brief results of research as well as a reading list of suggested books and articles on the topic. Once you start reading what scientists have proven, you will have no doubt in your mind that the Law of Attraction works!!
BRIEF RESEARCH RESULTS
Citation: Can Prayer Heal? www.abcnews.go.com/sections/remotehealing
Purpose of Study: To prove or disprove the power of prayer.
Method: A remote healing study, by the Mid America Heart Institute in Kansas City , MO , was conducted by Cardiologist James O'Keefe. For one year, patients in the critical care unit were secretly divided into two groups. Half were prayed for, half were not.
Results: The patients who were prayed for had 11% fewer life threatening complications. Dr. O'Keefe said that he had no way to explain this, other than the possibility of God's influence in our lives.
Citation : Arthur Preston Smith, The Power of Thought to Heal: An Ontology of Personal Faith . www.websyte.com/alan/dissert.htm
Purpose : This dissertation sets out to prove or disprove psychosomatic healing. Dr. Smith has 2 theses: 1. It is real 2. It is natural (i.e., there is no supernatural intervention)
Method: To explain the mind-body interaction, he changes the context of the discussion from one of substance and attribute to one of process and creativity.
Results: His conclusion is that our thoughts and beliefs are a real and important force in healing .
Citation: Margins of Reality: The Role of Consciousness in the Physical World, Robert Jahn and Brenda Dunne (London: Harcourt Brace Jovanovich, 1987)
Purpose of the Study: The random output of machines could be controlled
Method Used: Experiments
Results: Ordinary people can affect the random movement of machines simply by an act of the will.
Note: Bonded pairs were 6 times as strong as that of a single operator because their powerful resonance enhanced their joint effect on the machine.
Citation: Brain and Perception: Holonomy and Structure in Figural Processing, Karl Pribram, (Hillsdale, NJ: Lawrence Erlbaum, 1991)
Purpose of Study: To attempt to understand the effects of frontal lobotomies
Method Used: Experiments over a 20 year period
Results: The brain's conversation with the body occurs in the form of waves and patterns, rather than as images.
Citation : Seven Experiments That Could Change the World: A Do-It-Yourself Guide to Revolutionary Science, R. Sheldrake . (Fourth Estate, 1994)
Purpose of Study : To explore the telepathic ability of animals
Method Used : Experiment
Results: Animals operate according to an organizing energy field far more advanced than any sensory communication.
Note: Sheldrake amassed a database of 2,700 case histories of this apparent telepathic behavior. There were more than 200 pet owner surveys which supported the telepathic behavior with concrete examples of the pet's behavior
